Before the show in the tourbook I read Bono's quote, "Do not fasten your safety belt, we are about to get airborne", was far from an understatement. From the opening number with the house lights on to the poignant tribute to Michael Hutchence on Stuck in a Moment, and the Ramones tune I Remember You, and ending with Walk On, the 13,000 inside the San Diego Sports Arena were catapulted into hyperspace! These guys played 2 solid hours of their best stuff. The setlist rang out like a double greatest hits package, and the new Fly made me fly too!! The stage was beautiful, the lighting was awesome, and the 4 of them were tighter than ever. And from Bono's words at the end of this amazing night, he mentioned how the fans give them a "great love", because we do!! I believe the boys of U2 were not buckled up themselves, because together we were all airborne.
