This was my 29th U2 show, dating from 1985, but first on this tour. I was in the heart.

PJ was cool.

The show was great, some comments;

-interesting use of horn tapes on Stuck
-the crowd in the first half was very lack luster, with Bono needing to encourage clapping, etc. This would not, and will not happen in Boston for example
-Some highlights; I will Follow, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Bad, Streets, All of the encores

-The entrance ot the arena had a sign that still cameras (no detachable SLR lenses) and audio recorders were OK. (No video). This was apparently a directive from the promoter.

-I was not frisked (I had nothing anyway) - but security in the heart told us that audio recording is never ok and no digital cameras - or flash usage up close. I think he was operating on standard proceedure not the U2 specific rules.

-Bono's voice was pretty shot last night - it didn't matter too much - the crowd helped out on Pride and With or Without You.

-As always, the band, esp. Edge kicked ass! Listen to them on The Fly or Bad, Gone, etc.

I have GC tonight and am looking foreward to a different experience. I may take some snap shots which I will be able to post to all...
