I drove from LA after getting one of those late-minute available VIP tickets the night before on Ticketmaster. It was one of the best seats in the house after GA. I stood over the entrance to the band's dressing area and was so excited when they walked right underneath me!
I loved that they kept the house lights up for Elevation. I thought it felt really intimate then, despite the huge arena. I've seen them three times in three different tours and I've got to say that this was the most enjoyable show for me. The other two shows were at stadiums, and I was happy to see that they are doing 'slightly smaller' venues. The heart-shaped walkway should be a required set-piece for every touring band and except for the row of monitors behind the band that only come up for a few songs and the meshy screens around the walkway, their set is stripped bare. Despite what a few people are saying in their reviews, I thought this crowd was awesome!
I loved Elevation. Bad was wonderful, Bullet the Blue Sky rocked and I was moved by the encore Walk On.
PJ Harvey Rocks, don't miss her!
