I have been reminded of the power of music yet again. I have often taken for granted the level to which great music can take you and Im only reminded in bits in pieces when Ive stumbled upon a new band playing a local bar or maybe a club, dancing frantically - but these are just wispers - last nights concert was a yell and a scream , undeniable.
I have not been to any of the previous shows on this tour - so I can not compare - but I know I was feeling quite connected to just about every other person in that arena. As I have seen stated by the other ppl who have reviewed this show - the energy was unbelievable. The set list was great - a few personal favorites (Until the End Of the World, All I Want Is You) and many crowd favorites. I was quite nearly dumbstruck when, during Pride, I glanced around the arena and really took in the sight that 98% of the ppl in that arena were singing and truely feeling the song. I had seen U2 preform this song during the PopMart tour, and it always incites quite a reaction - but last night was just more... It was amazing.
I envy those of you who are able to go to muliple shows - I had said previous to this show that I would prolly give a pinky finger for a good spot at a U2 show - after last night I would prolly part with a index finger ..or maybe a thumb for another chance to see this band :-P
