Well... This is my third U2 concert in life, after Reggio Emilia 1997 (Popmart) and Rome 2005 (Vertigo) and it's been the most disappointing one, for some reasons.
First, the audio. I was on the second ring red (the most expendive place) and I couldn't even recognize Bono's voice since it was so loud and strident. The song Vertigo was even embarassing: just noise, nothing else.
Second, U2 themselves: ok, they aren't so young anymore but hey, they just did their little homework on that stage. They seemed like the actors walking on the runway on some movie festival: I don't want that from U2. I expect genuinenes, pride and fire from them.
Don't misunderstand me, I'm very critic cuz they are U2, that means the best band and, most of all, the best live-band ever existed.
Anyway the good point were the new songs: I appreciate them a lot, expecially Unknown Caller (a wonderful song).
See ya next time men, I hope with a better soundcheck.
