Always special to see the guys in person after a few years, like connecting with old friends.
The first 4 songs last night got the crowd and Bono going. To me, Out Of Control and I Will Follow never get old, and tie in perfectly with the innocence theme.
The next block of new songs was kind of painful. The crowd barely reacted and it must have been tough for the guys to see this in person. There is no validation for the newer songs, whereas oldies like Pride and even Beutiful Day got the crowd going.
I was excited for the video but found it was almost boy-bandish when they were all in the screen - and it didn't take away from the lackluster crown reaction.
The last 10 or so songs were all hits and mostly sounded great. The new sound system works.
My only other feedback was that the show is so spread out that it is sometimes hard to follow - or you just pick where to focus and enjoy that piece of it. I was on GA, but back by Red Zone.
