It was a great show. I have only had the opportunity to see them in Chicago for last two tours so St L was great if only for that fact. I for one enjoyed Kanye. I have to admit if it wasn't for U2, I probably wouldn't even know this guy's name. He was focused and wanted to bring his experience to us. He was also quite humble - not what I would have expected from the bravado-bling-bling image of most rappers. Yes there were the boo-ers during Kanye's set and even during Bono's nod to the opener (shame!)
The boys sounded great. Yahweh played from the main stage vs ellipse. CoeXisT visuals were more elaborate and compelling than spring. Just when I was expecting to hear Running's chords, Edge segued from bullet to Miss Sarejevo. Bono-Pavarotti sounded great, even that last sustained high note.
And Gloria? Wow, awesome. When I got into my car after the show, the Red Rocks' version was the first to play. They sounded almost EXACTLY the same -- same power and nuances in the band as in Bono's voice. After 20 years, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
Bravo and until we meet again gentlemen.
