After reading all of the other postings, I am obviously in the minority, but I thought U2 were not very energetic. Don't get me wrong, I think it would be impossible to not enjoy a U2 show. Overall I had a great time and can't think of a better way to spend $50 bucks. The sound was good and the St. Louis crowd was probably the best crowd I've seen out of seven U2 shows. I was excited to be just on the outside of the ellipse tip, but they did not utilize the catwalk as much as they usually do. I might as well have had seats up high. Bono seemed appreciative of the crowd, but did not talk as much as he usually does. Overall I thought they looked tired as this is the fourth to last show of the this long tour.
I travelled from Kansas City. I agree with KC Dave, hopefully our new Sprint Center downtown will bring U2 on their next tour. If they don't though, I wouldn't blame them, as they haven't sold out a show in KC since Zoo TV for some reason beyond me.
Also, I don't know why people were surprised the Kanye was booed. It had nothing to do with his performance, which was good, and I'm not really a fan. However (right or wrong) it was due to his comments about Bush on live tv. If he wants to say something like that, he has to expect some boo's wherever he goes from now on. I was kind of hoping someone would have a sign saying "St. Louis hates Kanye West"
