Really enjoyed U2's concert at St. Louis, MO, Dec 14th. They got better as the night went on. I particularly liked the way the evening finished by each of them leaving the stage one at a time the others still played. It was somehow fitting Larry Mullins jr was last to leave as he started the group! Great lights and sound, but the bass was much too thumpy, all you could hear was thump and no pitch change, which is a shame. My favorite tracks; Passenger/Miss Sarajevo, Street Has no name and 40. On Passengers, Bono did a great impression of Pavarotti!
Tremendous atmosphere, still can't believe you can get so much from 4 guys.
Only one serious donwside; Kanye West. I don't go to see rock music concerts to see rap. It is more poetry than music and is miles away from what U2 and their type of music are. There was also a 45 minute break between Kanye and U2 which seemed to be too long unless there was some sort of problem. It's interesting that when Bono commented on how the band enjoyed the night and also Kenye West, there was quite a bit of booing, especially from me. I try anything once, but rap, not for me. Good luck to those that like it, but keep it away from rock music.
Overall, U2 are like fine wines, getting better with age. I can't wait until they hit 50!
