by Andy Kimmel
Hello!
My name is Andy Kimmel, and I was that lucky fan that got on stage to play guitar with U2. We played "Knocking oh Heaven's Door" per Bono's request. He had asked me what I could play, and since I have been playing guitar for 10 years, I told him anything. I also mentioned I could play "People Get Ready" and that I had been practicing their live version of "Running To Stand Still" (see their Sydney Zoo TV show). However, once I saw the crowd get into it and cheer, I was of course just honored and happy to be there (who the hell wouldn't??)
I ran around looking to see my brother, and then went to slap a five with Adam Clayton (who had to flick a cigarrette away to do it! He smiled, and said "good job" which was amazing! Thanks Adam!)
I could go on and on, but I just want to say thanks to everyone for cheerinf for us, and thanks to Bono, Larry, Adam, and Edge!
Andy
