After this performance, I feel that U2 is,
undeniably, the BEST BAND IN THE WORLD! This was the true rock performance in every sense of the word. The band was perfect, giving us everything we needed to make our lives better... spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Singing every word to every song
was a spiritual and emotional high for me.
Bono's gentle dance while holding an American Flag during 'Sunday Bloody Sunday'
brought me to tears. Bono's moving words prior to a wonderful acoustic version of
'Please' touched us all. It was awesome seeing Bono bring up one fan from the audience, wearing a green football jersey
sporting U2 in white and 40 in red. Bono also got a guy from the audience to play the piano. Both were incredibly talented. The
guy in the jersey ran around the heart
while playing 'Knockin' On Heaven's Door'
with the band. At the end, as Bono and Edge escorted the fans back to where they came from at the end of the heart, Bono jokingly said...'this is our show, now fuck off'.
Everyone got a big laugh. The most wonderful moment of the show was during 'One', when
all the names of the airline victims, the NYPD, and the FDNY, were shown on the video
screen and curtain behind the band. To me, that symbolized how much we miss our fallen heroes. Those that we never knew, but that we all miss dearly. There wasn't a dry eye in the crowd. This was a moving and unforgettable
performance that we will remember and hold in our hearts forever. Bono, Edge, Larry, and Adam...I thank you.
