So I had nose bleed seats. BUT...
I did get a picture with Andy Kimmel, the great entertainer from the audience who got to play guitar on stage with the band. It was one of the many highlights of the evening. He was nice enough to stop on the street after the show when a crazy fan (me) came running up with a barrage of questions. Thanks Andy!
Even from far up in outer space (a.k.a. the cheap seats), the experience of the concert was no less captivating. Bono really has a way of including everyone, whether it's the lucky General Admission ticket holder or the poor sap with the slow internet connection who got stuck with the seats up top. I thought it was cool how Bono took control of the spotlight and scrolled it across the Savvis Center, illuminating the crowd. At the end of show, the names of the September 11th victims scrolled off of the screens and onto the bodies of the thousands of people around the arena. That was a sight I won't soon forget.
Thanks for another terrific show, U2 and St. Louis.
