Spirit, history, imagination, truth, and sheer energy (!) are but a few words that come to mind when trying to describe yesterday's show in Gelsenkirchen. What other band is able to ty together these elements even after 25+ years and remain humble?!?
With 'THANK YOU FOR GIVING US A WONDERFUL LIFE' is how Bono opened the evening. He marked the evening a 'SPECIAL NIGHT' in light of the previous' day 40 USD-billion debt forgiveness by the G8 to some of the poorest nations of our world. They delived yet another stunning and energetic peformance, thank you U2, and thank you for all the D.A.T.A support!
I saw them play in Boston two weeks ago and felt that the crowd was a bit more energized in the United States. Nevertheless, the band was great and brought lots of smiles to many faces.
