I wasn't planning on going to this show with the economy such as it is and money being tight but I'm so glad I did.
The band played the best show I've ever seen in the 25 years and 20 plus shows I've been to.
It was kind of wierd to see the guys playing a concert without trying to push an album, but thr result was awesome. They seemed to be having alot of fun playing songs they want to play instead of one half of the show off the new record.
The only semi negative thing I can come up with is Miss Sarajevo. Want to get 60-70 thousand prople to sit down? just play Miss Sarajevo! lol Don't get me wrong it a beautiful song and Bono really nailed it, but the thing is the place was really going off from the time they took the stage through Pride. The crowd wasn't 100% back into it untill City of Blinding Lights.
When I was walking into the stadium with my friend she asked me what I wanted to hear them play. I told here that Bad is my favorite song of all time and always makes for a special concert for me when they play it. Well needless to say I didn't get to see Bad but actually got something better, One Tree Hill!!! As I write this it's about 2 hours after the show ended and I still have a huge smile on my face. Granted it was a little rough around the edges but that made it all the better. This show on it's own was a 10/10, throw in an imprompto and totally unrehearsed One Tree Hill and I'll give it a 15.
