Tonight was my 16th U2 show since 1997. I have spent probably way too much time creating a perfect setlist for each tour, etc. Discussing with friends and arguing over the inclusion of one song or another. While I knew it would never happen, I included One Tree Hill in every setlist and it always got a good laugh from friends. Since it hadn't been played in the United States in 24 years, I figured it was a safe bet that I would be 16 for 16 in not seeing. Thankfully, I was wrong. For me, this was the single best moment in 14 years of following U2 around. That has been my favorite song since I was 12 years old. That song, paired with the rain falling at the conclusion of Streets and Out of Control made tonight the most joyful show I've ever seen. Spirit was definitely in the house tonight.
