No Glasto hangover. The band were in great spirits (except maybe Mr. The Edge?). Leading with 4 from Achtung right into I Will Follow set the tone. Bono made several references to being at MSU, commenting that they didn't survive University. Instead they went to rock band school and Rolling Stone was their textbook. Maybe more bands should subscribe because these guys won over a lot of folks eager to dimiss them once again last night. The energy was contagious and well worth the year's delay. My wife and I gave my little brother and sister tickets for Christmas and it was priceless to look over and see the joy on their faces during Beautiful Day and Elevation while I was resting. I smiled a lot last night and still am.
