This was my first ever U2 concert. I had, unfortunately missed opportunities to see them on their previous 2 tours so I was very excited to finally see them live. The buzz was that U2 recorded on albums maybe great, but U2 live is in another world.
Those high expectations were absolutely met! I have never felt such a community amongst audience members before or since at any concert. The audience sang along to nearly every song and the whole experience simply lifted you up and carried you along. That's my lasting memory: U2 in concert is an uplifting, uniting, fulfilling experience.
