Ellipse Baby!
My wife and I were lucky enough to win the lottery to gain entrance into the ellipse and things just got better after that!
As soon as City of Blinding Lights started up, the whole arena just went crazy! People were hugging, crying and SCREAMING!
The roar from the crowd was almost overwhelming and was just deafening! I could not believe how close we were going to be for this show! That one was definitely the biggest rush of the show.
I don't know what album Miss Sarajevo was off of, but I was familiar with the song since I knew it was on the playlist, I liked the song a lot. But hearing Bono's story about how the song was written and under what circumstances, and also seeing him wipe a tear off his face before singing it.....PRICELESS! The moment was truly wonderful.
Other highlights:
Original of the Species-I am glad they played this song instead of Miracle Drug, it sounded awesome.
Pride-I was amazed at the great reception this song got. Everyone was singing at the top of their lungs and it was very emotional the whole energy of it.
Love & Peace-You can tell that U2 loves playing all their new songs. When they started jamming to this song, Clayton & Edge took center main stage side by side and were rockin out.
while Bono & Larry rocked out on the ellipse.
With or Without You-Being so close to the stage was like sharing this intimate moment where Bono slow danced with a fan very tenderly.
Thank you U2!!
