This is my 7th U2 show since 1984. It was not the best show, and not the worst. I have seen them in Boston and Miami. Four times in Tampa. Out of the four times this was the weakest crowd reaction I have ever seen. I think fans have high expectations and when they are not met they are disappointed. everyone has their favs, me included but with the way crowds react here I think they should bypass Tampa/St Pete altogether. Gavin Rossdale and his band did a great job opening up..best opening I have seen. At the opening of the show it was very loud. New stuff sounds great. Good mix for them. Bomb and Actung highlight opening set. Contrary to prev review "Sometimes" did nothing to slow the show. Bono "Blew up the place" with "sing, your the reason I sing", it had me and fellow fans in tears. Same with "Sarajevo" Bono has been working on the pipes. Magnificent! Nothing wrong with encore selection crowd is wrung out by then. The thing I did notice is people began to leave before the first encore! People pay high ticket prices for grat shows and leave early? I don't get it. Oh and By the way...40 ends "how long, to sing this song..lots of how long...see ya. Great performance by the band, typical Tampa crowd.
