We'd have to say that this was as good as it gets when it comes to a U2 show. This was our first GA experience and second U2 show ever (our first being in Miami on Sunday). We were fortunate enough to get into the 'ellipse' and were right up in front.(Between Bono and Edge but closer to Edge).
The show was amazing. The set list was mind-blowing. U2 were in top form. They really brought it on and kicked their own arses. Bono was so cute when he joked about Pavarotti being there. He gestured to the left when he spoke of him, as if he were going to join him on stage for Miss Sarajevo, but then slyly and jokingly, with all his swagger, said "No, he's not here! Just joking".
It was lovely when he pulled the young girl up on stage, and of course the brunette for With or Without You. But what was particularly touching and wicked was when he pulled Joey on stage. His dad proudly screaming "You're the MAN!". Joey was a fan, believe me, as I saw him singing along during Where the streets have no name. {Don't worry Joey we got great pix!}
Adam was very playful and kept sharing knowing smiles with Edge and Bono through-out the show. You can just see the bond and brotherhood between the four Dublin lads. Larry was his usual bad-boy self, and beat furiously at the drums with all his might. Watching the sweat drip off them as they rocked out like true pros was INSANE!
It is true that you have to be up close and personal with them to truly enjoy it to the fullest.
We met some wonderful people and some pricks too. It was all in all a well rounded experience and truly the best way to watch the greatest band in the world, U2, perform live, just for YOU.
We couldn't have asked for more and it was the BEST way to celebrate a reunion.
