my 5th show of the tour so far and by an absolute mile the best. To be honest i was getting a bit fed up with the setlist not changing and beginning to lose excitement as i travelled to the show from derby in the UK. But I wasn't prepared for this!!!! I went to both manchester shows, cardiff and Dublin and was on the front rail for every show (well, on edges side!), but tonight i had a more chilled one in mind and stood just in front of the lighting console, i wanted to experience paris and not sit outside a gate all day. Tonight however was more powerful than all the rest put together, even though i wasn't near the front. The french crowd were AMAZING!!!! and the war trilogy just sounded 10 times more passionate and relevant than ever. I love U2 to be angry, they play so much better than when they are nervous or relaxed. After the show I said to my girlfriend (even after 15 shows on 4 tours) for the first time i really GET why U2 are and will be always the greatest band ever. There can be no better compliment. Thanks Paris, I needed you tonight for many reasons, and you didnt let me down.
