Review of Paris
First and Second Nights:
U2 in Paris reminded us of the events that happened in England and Bono spoke of terrorism and poverty having deep connections. He said that the Western world should take the necessary steps to protect itself from terror, but urged the audience to look deeply at the causes of terrorism. I believe these are the reasons that U2 practically played the same set in Paris twice (Out of Control, second night). I think these set lists have a message to convey, and U2 did not want to stray from the message.
There seemed to be a fair amount of English in the audience, and there was no ranting about the Olympics. These shows were a solemn experience. They were about being awake at the deepest level of consciousness.
The last two nights witnessed U2 committed to healing the British people and educating the French, British, Arabs, and whomever on the global problems of poverty and terrorism- the link cannot be dismissed...
Or so says Bono.
