What a great show this was, I was right at the tip of the heart and stood directly behind the girl that was brought on stage during Wild Honey. She was absolutely adorable and it was fun talking with her and her Mom before the Show. All around us people were making signs and I asked Faith, Arent you going to make a sign? She said she didn’t know what to put. I told her to keep it simple and asked her if she would be afraid to get up there? She Said ‘NO WAY’ that she would love to be up there, So I recommended she make a Sign that said ‘Dance with Me’, that is exactly what her Mom did and I told her it would be best if she held it up only when Bono was right at the Tip. Faith got her chance at the End of Beautiful Day, she was barely taller than the jump stand and as Bono was finishing BD I could see him looking her way and he was clearly reading her sign and eyeing her. He gave her a wink and wave then he headed for his position to start UTTEOTW. I leaned over to Faith’s Mom at that point and told her I thought he would bring her up. Mom seemed absolutely elated, it was enough just that Bono had acknowledged them. I knew that he would not take her up until the Acoustic part of the set and I kept having to tell the Mom to be patient because every time Bono was at the tip she was trying to boost her daughter. Finally the moment came.
During Wild Honey Bono looked over and made eye contact with me and then the little girl, I am not sure if he was ready to bring her up during the middle of the Song but we seized the Moment and boosted her up there. It was totally one of those incredible moments that makes going to several shows special. I had to leave the tip before the end of the show because the jostling was getting to me but I happened to run into Faith and her Mom after the show and I got contact info for them, they did not have a camera and so they are of course hoping that someone out there got pictures. If you took pictures or Video of Faith, please contact me and I will get copies of any pictures you send me forwarded to her.
