It's been a few days and I am still a bit high on that last concert here in Los Angeles. I know that I will be going thru U2 withdrawls for the next few months. Won't we all?
This was my sixth of the tour but it was special in that I decided that I had to get into the heart and had to take my 8 year old son to the show for his first concert. A great U2 baptism. I got there at 8am and we were number 216 & 217 in line. The people we met were all great...Renee, David...hello to all of you...
The heart was incredible. I was able to hold my son up on the railing about half way back on Edge's side. The highlights for us were Out of Control, Stuck in a Moment (it was great to see my boy sing along to every word). He was mesmerized by the whole experience.
My father passed away from cancer a month before Bono lost his dad...so Kite has taken on a very special meaning. And I still think it is very powerful that Bono recites from Psalm 116 at the beginning of Streets. It's a nice message that I hope people take home and onwards with them. There's another part of the Psalm that we are putting on my father's tombstone about God how rejoices in the death of one his saints, how He welcomes them home...
That was the end of the tour for me I believe. I did take four roles of pictures which will be nice memories and did take a couple pictures of the girl that was brought up during Wild Honey.
Walk On everyone.
