This was my first concert that I had ever been to, and U2 was my favorite band. It didn't matter to me that I was about 3 rows from the top of the stadium, just about as far as you could get from the stage. The concert was amazing and they were filming Rattle and Hum to top it off.
I remember MTV being outside the stadium and a helicoptor flying over filming. It had been raining earlier in the day and Bono commented on how they were from Ireland so this made them feel at home. The music to me was perfect and very powerful.
"Sreets", "Out of Control", "With or Without You", and "Bad" were incredible. Bono introduced "Bad" and the story behind it, how a friend of his died of an overdose on his 21rst birthday. Bono said he was high by just being on stage.
After closing with "40" the crowd continued to sing the chorus all the way out the stadium. It was rather amazing to hear 50,000 people all singing the same thing, even after the band left the stage.
