After preordering U2 tickets back in January (through Prop. - thanks), I waited patiently for April 12th to arrive & when it finally did, I couldn't wait to make my way to the Tacoma Dome! My friend, Brian, & I made our way into the 'heart' after standing in line for several hours in the wind & rain. We knew it was going to be worth it! We also had cameras to take pictures of the event we were about to witness. The crowd, including myself, went nuts when U2 finally walked onstage & kicked into 'Elevation'. Although there were many great moments of the concert, I really enjoyed the band cranking out the hits from the '80's like 'Bad', 'I Will Follow', 'Pride', etc.! The songs 'Gone', Until the End of the World', & 'The Fly' sounded better live than the studio versions. On 'New York', Bono seemed to have a problem with his microphone, thus, the song sounded somewhat 'muddy' from my perspective. Among other things, I liked how the band used those movable video screens only having them up for certain songs. The visuals for 'Mysterious Ways' even reminded me of the James Bond movies! By the end of the concert, my voice was already 'shot' due to all the singing & hollering. Heck, I wished the band played for another hour or so!
As mentioned on other reviews, get your U2 tickets if you haven't already!! I hope the pictures turned out good.
