Just got back from the show -- It was excellent, far better than I had expected.
A great opening of Elevation-Beautiful Day-Until the End of the World to get things going, and the show featured some nice homages to the Zoo TV and Joshua Tree tours.
Biggest surprises for me: Kite, Stay and Bad, which included everyone's favorite lines from "40." Also, I was glad to hear The Fly again, in a growling new version that ended the main set with Bono diving into and running through the General Admission crowd.
No songs from Pop, which was surprising, too, but about half of the new album, and a good smattering of older stuff.
Bono dedicated Kite to First Avenue (formerly known as Uncle Sam's), the venue across the street from the Target Center where U2 played 20 years ago this week. He also dedicated In A Little While ("a gospel song about a hangover") to Joey Ramone, and of course Stuck In a Moment was for Michael Hutchence.
Oh - and Bono and Edge did a nice version of Desire together (without Larry and Adam) at the apex of the heart stage... I was pleasantly surprised to hear that song, too.
All in all, a great performance. It makes me wish I'd gotten tickets for a few more shows!
