This was my 18th U2 show, and I've never seen the fans have so much fun...and it was pouring buckets of rain. First concert at their brand new stadium, a break in the heat wave, nearing the end of the tour and everyone into it. Even Bono acknowledged it, suggesting the end of tour party was starting in Minneapolis.
Bono seemed to be really enjoying it, but of course rain can't stop an Irishman. It did seem to put cramps in Edge's electronics. Adam got soaked and went shirtless. Who knew he was so ripped? Larry just kept at it under his umbrella as techs tried to shed water off the plastic.
Leaving the venue I heard a lot of "amazing", "I'll never forget tonight", etc. One girl said "I never knew Bono was such a great entertainer!" Yeah, that's why a lot of us keep coming back.
