My third show, and it was the best, mainly due to Bono's voice being on fire, coupled with the usual, but unbelievable, light show. "Blinding Lights" rocked, as did "I Will Follow," "Bad" and the rest. My only negative comment/question is this: why did U2 wait until the virtual end of "Streets" to light-up the entire Banknorth Garden with their overwhelming and rockin' fog lights? I noticed the same thing when they played at MSG a few weeks ago (i.e., the timing of the fog lights did not maximize the effect of "Streets"). If they had only lit-up the Banknorth Garden as they had done in the Rattle and Hum video (i.e., at about 47 seconds into the song), the place would have gone (more) nuts. Part of what makes "Streets" such a great performance song is U2's correponding, out-of-this-world light show. Despite this minor complaint, however, the show rocked beyond expectations.
