So far, this has been the best U2's performance in Mexico. We waited almost 8 years to see our favorite band again and they knew it, so the show was awesome. At last, it was like the reunion of two lovers who never stopped loving each other.
Bono spoke in Spanish several times, he sang 'Cielito Lindo' -one of our most representative mexican songs- as a snippet in 'Bad'. He showed his love for our country and the mexican flag, he wore a mexican hat,
he apologized for taking a lot of time to play again in Mexico, and he said that MLK had a dream for Mexico too during Pride (In The Name Of Love).
"Esta noche es hermosa" (Tonight is beautiful)- said Bono. Yes, last night was beautiful.
I think that the best song was Love And Peace Or Else: watching our four heroes and their energy in two pairs Edge-Adam and Larry-Bono, in front of our eyes!
I loved Until The End Of The World: The Edge got crazy with an extraordinary guitar solo, he is out of this world.
Bono's amazing voice is back!!! Somtimes You Can't Make It On Your Own and Miss Sarajevo proved it.
Finally, I loved when Bono made a brief speech in Spanish before One:
"You can't change the world, I can't change the world, The Edge can't change the world. But We can change the world if we act as One"
Unfortunately the audience never lighted the lighters following the rythm of the music. We had always done it until last night. I'm sure it will happen again at Azteca Stadium.
I didn't like The Secret Machines, they are boring. However, I have to see them twice again.
