Because I am afraid to fly, I never leave Australia. And because I get seasick, I never leave Australia. Australia is the greatest country on Earth and U2 has returned!
Because of the above statements and because I was seriously ill with the flu when they visited here during the PopMart Tour, I have not seen my favorite band play live since 1993!!!!!! Isn't that disgusting?
The band was on fire tonight, even though it was only the third show since the Vertigol restart. Almost everything is new to me, since it's been over a decade. I loved every minute of it. Kite was amazing, as well as Vertigo, City, Love And Peae, and Zoo/Fly. AMAZING!
My only complaint is that U2 tends to drop new songs (from the latest album release for each tour) as the tour gets older. For instance - only 5 songs from Atomic Bomb tonight... that's ridiculous. Where was Miracle Drug or ABOY!?!?! And what about playing Fast Cars for us Aussies!?!?!?
I love U2, but I think Paul McGuinness gives them bad advice sometimes. Like to play old songs over and over and over.
merf.
