Simply put, U2's Las Vegas show was INCREDIBLE! It was my second show of the tour (Portland, OR was the first), and I could hardly contain my excitement. Although it is only my third show ever, I could tell that the performance was a little slower than in the past, but the energy from the band picked up quickly--possibly resulting from the crowd's excitement.
From the inner tip of the heart I was able to feel THE BAND's emotion as they ran through the majority of my personal favorites as well as a special performance of "Wild Honey"--which I was informed in the G.A. line--it hadn't been performed frequently if at all.
Exciting stuff, though smaller than the Rose Garden show, the acoustics of the Thomas and Mack Center blew out my eardrums but I who cares?! Julie from Canada was pulled up after the acoustic set to play "People Get Ready" and her stage presence with Bono and the Edge (For her FIRST U2 show ever!!!) was incredible! Major Congrats to her!
Overall the best trip I've ever taken, especially the tense, but rewarding 34 hour wait and troubles with Thomas and Mack security threating to arrest trespassers. So worth the wait! I'm a "born-again fan" after hearing U2 play again. Thanks to all the G.A. line for a fabulous day and a half!
