Dear U2 fans,
Popmart is my first U2 concert. It was truly spectacular! Musically flawless and visually stunning. I have always wanted to see U2 in concert, I was only 14 when ZooTV hit the burgh in 1992 and couldn't go which really sucked. For Popmart there would be no stopping me. I was in the eighth row near the Lemon. I was standing on my chair for the whole 2+ hours. My seat was so great I could see Bono, Edge, Adam, and Larry at all times. I really can't put the show into words, but it is something I will never forget. My personal favorite moment was Pride, Bono sung the Martin Luther King Jr. verse right in front of me.
As far as the negative reviews about U2 not playing more of their old music:
POPMART is not meant to be a greatest hits concert! It's POP----Mart as in Pop their new album which they are promoting.
I'm very grateful they play any older songs.
U2 is an ever-changing band thats's why they are still rocking. I own all their albums and know almost all their lyrics. I was a little disapointed in Pop at first, that's because it is so different, but as I listened to it I fell in love with it, now it's my favorite. It's not Achtung Baby, or the Joshua Tree, but just as great.
As far as souvenirs I brought back a shirt, a really awesome program, and a giant Popmart lemon.
U2 is truly the best band in the world!
