Having been a fan of U2 for 20 years+, I finally get to see them live and it was THE BEST GIG EVER!!!!!! Birthday suprise for my husband and 11 year old son (his first big gig....will be comparing every gig for the rest of his life to last night!), we were lucky enough to get to Twickenham early enough to get wristbanded for the inner circle.........didn't realise quite how amazingly near to the action this would get us! We were central between the two podiums and got the most amazing view of the whole incredible show. Electric atmosphere from the moment the guys casually strolled onto the stage and got the whole place rocking with the astounding "Vertigo".....which was written for stadium tours, surely?! Couldn't beleive my luck when they then launched into "I will follow" (personal fave), the entire place was jumping and we didn't stop until the evil curfew meant they had to. The atmosphere for the whole show was absolutely amazing.....loved the set list ( it felt like a "Greatest Hits Tour",although there are always others you'd like to hear.....a 5 hour gig would be good!) loved the lighting show, loved the way the band performed to the crowds......loved it all!
No other band could get a stadium filled with such a range of different people leaping around and punching the air quite like U2.......
AWESOME!
