No-one reading this will disagree that U2 is pretty much unbeatable when it comes to entertaining a stadium - they are still at the pinnacle of live pop performance.
I have to say, however, that I found the sound of the Twickenham concert (from where I was standing - middle tier) an absolute disgrace. The accoustics were attrocious - no surprise when you look at the roofing etc. Twickenham is great for a raucous rugby game, but utterly crap for a concert. I know that London is a bit short of stadium venues at the moment, but I left the concert very much disappointed at what should have been an aural as well as visual extravaganza.
