I felt the show was decent at best. It was a typical safety set list of the tour thus far. There wasn't much energy to them. Bono seemed ill, and wasn't talking half as much as he usually does. Bono and Edge used the ellipse maybe twice during the show, while Adam was all over it. Adam seemed to be really enjoying it too. He was all smiles.
Was it just me or did anyone else notice how many old songs they play in a row. Plus they were all pretty much the standand U2 staple of our tours songs, with the exception of Zoo Station.
So overall I was disappointed, and felt the show was lacking in energy. I have seen them perform much better shows (4 of them at the United Center), and hope they are able to step up to the challenge and make the remaining shows better. Otherwise, I may skip buying the DVD. Why relive a lame experience. I have tickets to the May 9th show, hoping it gets better.
There floor was very crowded, as there were 3 security teams there, and a ton of people had "working" passes given to them by their freinds so they didn't have any real tickets. There was no free space on the floor.
Outside I did see them interviewing fans for the DVD, and taking various footage of fans waiting in the cold to get it. It was pretty cold for May in Chicago.
