Definitely not a prime U2 experience. I realize that with the number of shows peformed over the course of the year, there are bound to be some unispired moments. There were, unfortunately, a predominance of such moments at Saturday's show. As for the good...all of the new songs sounded incredible. The staging was equally effective for them all. Unfortunately, the ten or so songs which have become staples over the past 15 years ("Sunday", "New Year's", "One", "Pride", etc.) came off as uninteresting and droll. It would be a thrill to hear something new from "War". Bono seemed exhausted. Here's hoping they don't turn into a greatest hits machine. Don't get me wrong...even an off U2 night still makes for an incredible evening.
