I had the amazing privilege of watching this show from the "Bomb Shelter." And I got to watch with my wife, a relatively new U2 aficionado. We were in the second row of people, just feet from The Edge. Words cannot describe our experience being in the ellipse. Seeing Bono, Edge, Larry and Adam, interacting, having fun and feeding off the crowd makes for an amazing spiritual experience. As a long time U2 fan, I agree with others that these shows lack some spontaneity, but they have amazing energy, social purpose, great lighting, and U2 music. What more could you ask for? I even enjoyed Kings of Leon more than I thought I would. I also attended the Monday night concert in Chicago, and personally thought the crowd was much better Saturday night, particularly at the end. The 40 singing went on much longer, and the crowd singalongs on songs like Elevation and Pride were better. Also, I never thought I would see Zoo Station live! Thanks so much to U2 for allowing ordinary, no name fans like my wife and I the honor of experiencing their concert from so close. It is a memory I will cherish forever.
