It's been a hell of a week.
I suppose I can say I was satisfied with the May 12th show, yet something was missing. Something wasn't right.
The set was solid, but either some songs have lost their soul or the band isn't into them. I can't say, but it seemed Edge wasn't into the show as much and I think it's because of the "family illness". For example, UTEOTW was so uninspiring, Edge looked so bored with it. But he was so into Miracle Drug, I think because of the above mentioned problem. I personally don't think they should have toured if that is the case, if they don't seem to be enjoying themselves.
The rest of the band seems worn as well, Adam always plays it way too cool, sometimes I wonder if he's playing in his sleep.
The new songs seemed to be played better and with more enthusiasm, which leads me to believe they're tired of some of the old ones.
Standout tracks: Miracle Drug, Sometimes, Love & Peace, COBL, Original, Streets, Yahweh, Bad
Streets was special tonight, and Bad always works. The new songs are always good.
For me, UTEOTW, Fly, Mysterious Ways (especially) were dead. I just couldn't get into it. I would have been happier with Wild Horses, Even Better, Acrobat and/or Ultraviolet.
The show did not suck but it wasn't great, it just wasn't great...which makes me sad. They're better than that and I believe they've got issues that need to be dealt with.
I will probably see them on the 3rd leg one time.
