Ladies & Gentlemen:
In these troubled times, it's good to know of one constant that's sure to answer the unanswerable.
When the goal is to elevate your soul, the Mecca is a U2 concert. Whether young, aging, balding, thickening, doubting, or faithless, the Koran according to Larry Mullen Jr. and bandmates reminds us all that God/Allah can speak through an echoing guitar lick just as easily as through some psychotic, one-eyed mullah of hate.
Should you have wasted your life away--pushin' papers, punching keys, screaming at other drivers, or runnin' your yapper instead of indulging in the communal and spiritual orgasm of a U2 concert--it's time to get down on your knees facing east and thank God Almighty five times over that they will soon release a live album. Get it when you can, and start
believin' there's something bigger than you and your piddly-ass world.
Class dismissed--now, carry on.
Peace, baby.
