I thought Garbage was great for an opening act. I really couldn't believe it when Shirley Manson was apologizing to the crowd for not performing the songs as well as she felt they could have because I thought they sounded great. Talk about being a perfectionist.
When U2 came on and opened with Elevation you could feel the energy in the crowd and the band fed off of that energy. The most touching moment though was when Bono held the American flag and then handed it back. Then when they ran the names of the people on the flights from 9/11 was real sobering and it looked as though Bono himself got all choked up. I would have to give the concert two thumbs up.
