This was my 13th U2 show - dating back to Joshua Tree '87 at the Meadowlands, and I have to say, i feel like they mailed this one in.
Don't get me wrong, thought the show was solid, but it felt like they were rushing through their set (and I checked my watch when they came on -- about 8:50 -- and they left the stage at 10:40pm). Bono's voice was pretty scratchy and there was limited interplay with the audience. They went through the first set in a rush -- about an hour and 10 minutes...and came back on for their encores after about 3 minutes of resting backstage. There was no Bad, WOWY, Mysterious Ways or the Fly, and while I am fine with dropping those songs, don't drop them without adding some additional songs...19 songs, in this reviewer's opinion, is pretty weak.
If you're going to come back for a third leg to squeeze every last cent out of the fans (brand new t-shirts for this leg, at $30 a pop) please make the effort to deliver a quality show for more than 1 hr, 45 minutes. Of course, this is just one listener's opinion, and trust me, I am a major U2 apologist...but I feel like you could skip this leg, in hindsight.
