It certainly didn't start out as a "Beautiful Day" sitting in the cold, windy rain waiting in the GA line. But things certainly seemed to warm up once inside. Garbage is one of their best opening acts. Check them out. Before I go further, I have to admit that I am a greedy fan. I always want more surprises, more songs, something unique each time. There could have been more songs and set list changes, but it was still a great show. Even though I could have done without New Year's Day, it was quite good - still love Adam's bassline after all these years. Kite was definitely one of the most moving songs that they have ever performed live. It is fresh every night the play it. The set list didn't reveal any real surprises (except Wake Up)until the full band version of Desire out at the tip. I was just a few feet away and it was so much fun watching them play like that. Desire was definitely a highlight and reminded me how great a drummer Larry is. Stay was a nice sing-a-long. Even though Bad is one of my personal favorites, it was great to hear All I Want is You tonight. With some of the songs that they've dropped (Sweetest, Little While, With or Without), there are not a lot of romantic/relationship songs in the set now. But certainly a lot has happened since the Spring. Streets was perfect as always. I Still Haven't Found both nights found the crowd in fine singing form. The rest of the show was pretty straight forward as in other nights. One and Walk On are both very moving. I find Walk On to be very bitter sweet because I love the song immensely, but I don't want the show to end. A great show, perhaps not legendary. I do miss With or Without You and Mysterious Ways. It would be nice to see them add a couple of more songs. But all in all, glad I drove six hours, waited in line 11 hours in the cold, wind and rain. Actually, it was a "Beautiful Day."
