Chicago, October 16th was by far one of the special nights for U2 fans. For anyone who doesn't know what "special" night means, it has to do with the interaction between band/fans. Bono is one who thrives off of crowd participation. The crowds are generally good in Chicago, usually involved as part of the show, but Tuesday's night's show was special. Near the end of Still Haven't Found...fans started singing on our own. Bono caught on and further encouraged us. After all was said and done, the fans provided the singing and the drumbeat, as Bono, Edge, Larry and Adam became the fans wathing the crowd perform. This continued for over a minute and was a perfect and unplanned intro into Streets. Emotions continued to build and the energy level only increased as Bono sprinted around the heart. Others have complained about energy levels not being there? And of never wanting to see another U2 show in Chicago?
Bono knew the night was special, and thanked us for making his night special.
