U2 saved the best for last in Chicago on Tuesday night. Feeding off the energy of the audience, U2 looked like they stepped back 20 years with Bono flying all over the stage yet his voice never sounded better. You could see it in the band as the night went on. The more the audience got into it, the more the band delivered.
A somber moment was towards the end of the show during One when the display board behind Larry rose upwards and then the list of passengers and crew of each of the planes that were taken over by terrorists began to scroll up the screen. Each Airline flight number was then followed by applause in respect of those who's lives were lost that September 11, 2001.
It was a moment when you had to fight back tears.
Bono did alot of talking this night and during some of the songs he let the audience sing out loud the chorus of 'All I Want Is You' and 'Desire'. An incredible show it was and at the end it seemed as if Bono was reluctant to leave the stage as he gave a last look back out into the audience as he exited.
