I am very disappointed by the review of Motorboat Jones and deem it necessary to add add my two cents to the review list. I went to nine - that's right nine shows this tour with my husband. We went all over the midwest from Cleveland to Chicago to Milwaukee to South Bend and back to our hometown of Chicago. The last show in Chicago was by far the best show so far. I thought that the show in South Bend was great, it was intimate but the sound quality was not that great. The sound seems to roll around. The Tuesday show in Chicago was awesome for many reasons, namely: we arrived at 3:45pm and stood outside for the GA section and found everybody to be really nice and exicted about the show. It was a really cold and windy day but HELLO it is Chicago - the weather here changes every five minutes. The United Center let everybody in exactly like they said beginning at 5:50pm. The show was great - so Garbage blew out an amp - they rocked! It was way more entertaining to see Shirley try to figure out what the hell was going on. We were about six people back from the tip of the heart at the start of the show and when all the pushing, shoving, and fainting girls around us we ended up about two people back at the tip of the heart. Sunday Bloody Sunday was very moving with Bono gently clutching the America flag. The full band version of Desire at the tip of the heart was really worth the price of admission itself. I have to say that the new lyrics for New York were very moving as well as Bono's openly discussing his Father's death - that takes a lot of courage regardless if you as the singer for the bigggest band in the world! The high point of the night was during One with all the names of the flight victims as they rolled up the screen - it made this whole crazy mess very personal and very moving. I couldn't have asked for a better version of Stay - it kicked ass! I do have some critisms about the show - I still miss With/Without You, Please, and Gone but come on it was still great. So, I'm sad to say that it was our last show for this tour - but maybe I can talk my husband into going to Las Vegas! Thanks to U2 for an awesome Spring/Summer/Fall - we'll see you next tour!
