(Continued)
Of the 3 tours that I have seen (Zoo TV, Elevation, and Vertigo) the boys really seemed to be playing better as a group than I can ever remember. Although this tour doesn't have the complete sensory overload of Zoo TV, it comes close. The boys are playing better than I remember from previous tours, however, and were playing really tight tonight (with the exception of Bono's forgotten lyrics on Walk On!). The best example of how tight they are playing was on The Fly. It is difficult to believe that this is the same song as on Achtung Baby. As someone has previously mentioned, the album version sounds scattered, jumbled, and as though the timing is off. Tonight, Bono played guitar (although it was difficult to tell if it was actually being amplified!). The 4 of them huddled together for much of the song feeding off one another. The song propelled itself and the song was a cohesive whole that absolutely rocked.
