What a great night.
I was at the last Chicago show of the first leg, which to be honest was the greatest concert I've ever attended, so obviously my exspectations were very high for this show. Our seats were probably some of the best seats ion the house, we sat right next the stage, on Edge's side, about 12 rows back. The view was truly amaizing. To be honest when "Cit of Blinding Lights" rang out at the beginning of the show, I was a little disapointed. It is a great song, probably one of the best of the new album, but i think they should stick with opening with Vertigo, or even Love and Peace, and save COBL for later in the show. Earlier in the day i was talking to my friend, who also attended the concert with me. I I clearly remember saying, "Wow wouldn't it be cool if they played "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses." And of course, they boys came through and pulled out an awsome alternate version of it. After the show ended, I guess I wasn't left with the same feeling as I had after the last U2 show (which was my first u2 show ever). Its not that this show was at all sub standard, I think I just appriciated it differently. Well, it was certainly another great show from the boys from the north side of Dublin, and hopefully they will continue to return for years to come...
