This was my 9th time to see the band, the first time on this tour. I have to say it was the most diappointing of the nine. I know many fans will disagree, but I have to be objective. I'm a long time fan, my first time seeing them was in May of 1997. Last night Bono's vocals just didn't sound good in my opinion. I don't know if it was him, the stadium acoustics or the sound was poorly mixed.
I also didn't find the new songs off of this recent album to be that great live. For the first time it actually felt more like a greatest hits tour to me, than past tours.
I did like Ultra Violet I thought that was a nice touch, along with the Unforgettable Fire. It was still far better than paying to see any other band, and even an average U2 show blows other bands out of the water.
Was very pleased to hear them play 5 songs of the All That You Can't Leave Behind Album, that was great.
