A special experience for me.
I've been a U2 fan since I was nine. Aged seventeen this was my first seeing U2 live
We arrived at the arena around 12:30 pm. The que in front of us seemed quite long at that point, I remember worrying that we would not get very good places. Standing in que however was a wonderful experience. The weather was beautiful, the sounds of "Still Havent Found" was beaming out from portable speakers down the que-line, there was a wonderful feeling of atmosphere and community.
At 5 pm the doors opened. As we got past the gates we started running towards the inner circle. I still remember the shock as we where allowed into the inner circle right next to the stage, such an ecstatic feeling!
At 9 pm the opening chord of Vertigo ripped through the stadium like a lions roar! The feeling of pure joy spread like a wave throughout the stadium.
A truly special experience. The best part for me that night was seeing Zoo Station and The Fly live, feeling that Zoo-TV vibe.
All in all an awesome experience and something I'll never forget!
